=> Jonny as a Computer User

For me, I will approve the ordering principle, law and rules that will govern computer use because I want to limit or avoid the crime in using computer to net world. And I as a computer user I want to sure that my account are properly secured by the computer or to avoid hacking. The government must formulate a law that any kind of computer abuses or computer crime must have a punishment or put to the jail.

=> The one that predominates the World of Computing

As of now the one that predominates the world of computing is Mill's Utilitarianism. Utilitarianism is a moral principle that holds that the morally right course of action in any situation is the one that produces the greatest balance of benefits over harms for everyone affected. So long as a course of action produces maximum benefits for everyone, utilitarianism does not care whether the benefits are produced by lies, manipulation, or coercion.

Many of us use this type of moral reasoning frequently in our daily decisions. When asked to explain why we feel we have a moral duty to perform some action, we often point to the good that will come from the action or the harm it will prevent. Business analysts, legislators, and scientists weigh daily the resulting benefits and harms of policies when deciding, for example, whether to invest resources in a certain public project, whether to approve a new drug, or whether to ban a certain pesticide.

Utilitarianism offers a relatively straightforward method for deciding the morally right course of action for any particular situation we may find ourselves in. To discover what we ought to do in any situation, we first identify the various courses of action that we could perform. Second, we determine all of the foreseeable benefits and harms that would result from each course of action for everyone affected by the action. And third, we choose the course of action that provides the greatest benefits after the costs have been taken into account.

=> Examples of Computer Activities that can be categorized as:

a. Morally good under all circumstances

       MONITORING/SPYING A MALL

Monitoring generally means of to be aware of something. To monitor or spying a Mall is morally good under all circumstances for the security of the people in the mall. for example if a snatcher will snatch a person who is walking in the mall, the snatcher may easily arrested by a police. Security is a degree of protection against danger, damage, loss or crime. The best way to avoid danger is monitoring. Monitoring is an example of an attitude of always ready no matter what happen to the security of People.

b. Morally bad under all circumstances

       DOWNLOADING/SPREADING SEX VIDEOS USING COMPUTER

Downloading or spreading sex videos using computer is morally bad under all circumstances because sex videos is prohibited to the law of land and law of god. Sex is must does by people without camera or not spreading to internet or web. Downloading a sex videos is must be stop or the websites of porn must be banned to web to be able to stop the crime of sex videos. for example the hayden kho sex scandals. No matter what they say downloading or spreading sex videos in the web is morally bad under all circumstances.

c. Morally good/bad under a certain circumstances

       HACKING

Hacking is to ability to access computer networks, legally or otherwise. Hacking is morally good and morally bad under a certain circumstances because it defend from the hacker if he/she use hacking a good way or bad way. according to our teacher, hackers have two kinds: the GOOD hackers and BAD hackers. Good hackers are the Police or agent that hacks a connection to be able solve a crime. a BAD hackers are the one who hacks a bank account. Hacking is GOOD in a certain circumstances and BAD in a certain circumstances

=> Law Governing Computer Use

NON-JURAL LAW

Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA)
In response to concerns that emerging technologies such as digital and wireless communications were making increasingly difficult for law enforcement agencies to execute authorized surveillance, Congress enacted CALEA on October 25, 1994. CALEA was intended to preserve the ability of law enforcement agencies to conduct electronic surveillance by requiring that telecommunications carries and manufacturers of telecommunications equipment modify and design their equipment, facilities, and services to ensure that they have the necessary surveillance capabilities.

=> My Personal Codes of Computer Ethics

Computer Ethics is a branch of practical philosophy which deals with how computing professionals should make decisions regarding professional and social conduct.
We have our own personal codes of Computer Ethics.
My Personal Codes of Computer Ethics are:
1. Honesty
2. Respect
3. Confidentiality
4. Professionalism
5. Responsibility
6. Communication
7. Obeying the law

Honesty because for me it is the best way to follow the Laws of Computer ethics you must be honest to yourself, to others and to world. Respect because when you respect others they respect you most. Confidentiality because you must have the courage and strength to overcome the problems or struggles in your life. You must believe in yourself that you can make it. Professionalism or Professional ethics is the rules governing the conduct, transaction, relationship within a profession and among its public and obligation of their clients not to harm them. Responsibility because you have the responsibility that you must not do bad things. Communication because you must communicate to others. Last, Obeying the law because its nonsense to make your personal Codes of Computer Ethics when you didn't obey it. You must follow Laws and apply a good manner.
